Prescribing the Aservo® EquiHaler®

If you would like more information before prescribing the Aservo® EquiHaler® you can download our Vet Manual or contact us using the form at the end of this page.

Dispensing the EquiHaler®

We recommend using our pack stickers when your practice dispenses an EquiHaler® to a client. These direct owners to the online training module and some common FAQs.

Our Territory Managers are always happy to visit you at your practice in order to demonstrate how to use the EquiHaler® and to share our Equine Asthma support toolkit which includes: post-prescription emails and leaflets, directions to the owner training module, social media posts and nurse training sessions to support equine nurses in carrying out equine asthma clinics. Please use the contact us button at the end of this page if you would like to receive any of this support at your practice.

owner training module, learning how to use Aservo® EquiHaler®

Teaching your clients to use the EquiHaler®

Our online owner training module is simple to navigate and the easiest way for your owners to learn how to use the EquiHaler®. They can access this on the owner section of this website, or your Boehringer Territory Manager can provide you with pack stickers with a QR code linking to the module.

Additional support is available on the owner section of this website where they can watch our ‘Additional support’ video for some further tips from equine behaviourist Gemma Pearson, and to see a fellow horse owner learning how to use the EquiHaler® for the first time.

tips and tricks for hesitant patients

Techniques for hesitant patients

Patients who have a pre-existing sound sensitivity or an aversion to having their muzzle touched may need some additional support when the EquiHaler® is introduced. Dr Gemma Pearson BVMS Cert AVP(EM)MScR CCAB PhD MRCVS has filmed a short video demonstrating how to use behavioural techniques to safely introduce the EquiHaler® to these patients.
